New York Death Penalty

THE NEW YORK STATE DEATH PENALTY.
The state of New York has decided to reject the failed experiment of the death penalty, However New York has also found alternatives to the death penalty. The NYADP (The New York Alternatives to Death Penalty), believes abolition means more than the absence of death row.Abolition means the response to violence are constructive, just, and work toward the betterment of the society.

The NYADP feels that these five groups united will help keep death penalty out of the state of New York;

1) victims/survivors
2) Law enforcement
3) Advocates to the mental ill
4) Prison families
5) Restorative justice practitioners

By connecting these groups and addressing the reducing of violence, the NYADP feel that they can change the state's view of retributive punishment being the only solution to crime.
